I got this backpack to carry the essentials for my daily needs at work. Traveling from lab to greenhouses to farms I needed a backpack that could hold papers, jacket, water, sometimes a computer, and be comfortable to carry as I wander back and forth throughout the day. This back pack fits the bill. Some reviews of this backpack mention that the straps were digging into their shoulders, but I find when fit correctly to your back the straps were very comfortable even under heavy 5+ pounds of weight. My water bottle is .4 liters so it fit the side pockets for water perfectly, and two of these sized bottles would be sufficient for a day of activity, though the opening in the back top of the backpack that has been mentioned for headphones elsewhere, can as the description above mentions be used for a water reservoir by either placing it in the computer compartment, or the main compartment on top of heavier belongings. A very well made bag, and a perfect day pack! Though I don't think I will have to use it for a few years, Osprey's All Mighty Guarantee where they will repair any part of the pack that effects its functionality for the life of the pack is very reassuring to have.

This is a great bag for those looking to carry big books along with a laptop. I am a nursing student who had a problem carrying everything in my North Face day pack and was looking for something with more comfort, room, and protection for my laptop. I found what I needed in this bag! It has lots of small pockets that is helpful for students or the daily commuter as well as plenty of room to carry books or files. It has a zipper specifically for your laptop so you won't have to deal with the books/files if you don't need to. Compared with the other prices, this is a good deal for an earth friendly, practical bag that gets the job done. Thanks, Osprey!
