Comments about Marmot Col Membrain -20 Sleeping Bag:

People laugh at me when I tell them what this bag is rated, but they don't understand how cold I sleep. I used to own a -5 degree synthetic bag and would be cold sleeping in well-heated hotel rooms in it. I bought this for a season working at high elevations in the Sierra Nevadas and haven't regretted it once. Yes, it's heavier than most down bags you'll come across but being able to sleep outside of my tent in near-freezing temperatures and watch the stars in comfort each night made it well worth the weight. I will never be cold again!

I used this bag in -11 F, with a wind chill that was -32F. I live in North Dakota. I slept in a bivy, with a 1.5in Thermarest pad. I stayed very warm and even cracked my sleeping bag open. This is a very godo bag and I am excited to try it in cooler temps.
