The goal of the PEAK program is to educate children about enjoying and caring for the outdoors. Through hands-on, interactive activities children are taught to have fun outside while practicing responsible outdoor recreation.

2009 REI Gives: 2009 REI Atlanta Area Grant Recipients Free

Atlanta is home to incredibly dedicated and avid outdoor stewards and recreational organizations. REI is excited to help support some amazing efforts through our grants program. In 2009, the REI Atlanta area teams are thrilled to support grants to Georgia Appalachian Trail Club, National Wildlife Federation, Piedmont Park Conservancy, West Atlanta Watershed Alliance, Conasauga District Trail Volunteers, Chattahoochee Nature Center, and Georgia River Network toward their impactful projects in and around Atlanta.

This hike, put on by the Georgia Conservancy's Generation Green and Keeping it Wild, will meet in front of the REI Buford store and depart on a short hike amidst fall colors, babbling creeks and away from the rush of mall traffic - but not too far. Come out and meet up with fellow active community members and find out what the organizations and the county have to offer.

Maintaining your road or mountain bike can be a daunting task when you don't know where to begin. The most that people will have done is change a flat tire or put some oil on their chain. The purpose of this clinic is to demystify the challenge of keeping your bicycle in good working order. It is also an introduction to the skills and excellent service of our cycling specialty shop.
