Bay Area Ridge Trail Council is the key organization responsible for planning, acquiring, building, maintaining, and promoting one of the most spectacular and unique urban trails in the country-the Bay Area Ridge Trail. Now nearly two-thirds completed, this 550-mile trail will encircle San Francisco Bay along ridge-tops, enabling hikers, cyclists, and equestrians to enjoy sweeping vistas in all nine Bay Area counties.
