REI strives to not only promote environmental stewardship, but also to give kids the opportunity to put the lessons they have learned into practice. REI recognizes that not everyone has the same opportunities or resources available to them. In an effort to give all kids the chance to explore the trails, rivers, and wildlands near them, REI has developed a Gear Bank program to get outdoor equipment into the hands of kids who would not otherwise be afforded the opportunity to enjoy these natural places.
