Search and rescue professional Leah Waarvik knows from firsthand experience how important it is for families to be prepared when they head out camping and hiking in wilderness areas. As a member of Alameda County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue unit and California Rescue Dog Association, she works with her rescue dog Emma, to help find people who need to be rescued in the backcountry.
