The Alaska Wilderness League is bringing Davey Lubin, boat captain and avid outdoorsman from southeastern Alaska, to New Mexico to speak about our Tongass National Forest. The Tongass, located in southeast Alaska, is the largest intact coastal temperate rainforest in the world and home to towering old-growth trees. Davey will be giving a presentation about the Tongass and why it?s so important to protect it for environmental, economic, and recreational reasons. Davey will explain why the Tongass is important for everyone ? not just in Alaska, but in the lower 48 states as well.
