Welcome to the REI/ Leave No Trace PEAK (Promoting Environmental Awareness in Kids) Program. The goal of this program is to educate children about Leave No Trace ethics and techniques that will help them minimize their impacts while enjoying our great outdoors.

The PEAK Program is based on the seven principles of Leave No Trace: Know Before You Go, Choose the Right Path, Trash Your Trash, Leave What You Find, Be Careful With Fire, Respect Wildlife and Be Kind To Other Visitors.

The PEAK program is a great kid?s clinic that can be tailored to different age groups and skill sets. The PEAK program combines games and interactive discussions to lead the students through the LNT principles.

PEAK presentations can vary in length, and content and we'll work with the youth group to present a clinic that is appropriate for their particular group or organization.

PEAK presentations can be offered in any one of our 3 Sacramento Area stores. To arrange for an REI employee to talk with kids, interested youth leaders should email our Outreach department at lmesa@rei.com
