Winter is here and with it comes the added risk of enjoying the backcountry and the beauty of the snowfall. Don't get caught out there unprepared! Join King County Search and Rescue in this special presentation and learn simple things you can do to increase the odds of a warm and safe backcountry snow sports adventure. Hear real life stories of winter rescues missions and learn how to avoid the mistakes other have made. Arm yourself with good information on how to get avalanche reports, what to wear and bring and tips and techniques so you don't become a statistic this winter.
