Free Avalanche Clinic

Interested in some fun backcountry adventures this winter? This class is for those who are considering snowshoeing or skiing the winter backcountry without real knowledge or basic understanding of avalanche danger. The lecture will introduce the concepts of avalanche safety; trip planning; terrain definitions, important snowpack factors, basic avalanche dynamics and risks. Also presented is the opportunity to see if a full Avalanche Level 1 course might be of interest in the future. No registration is required.
