Hands-on discovery activities for children and Birding Basics for all ages. Learn more about our feathered friends:

What was that? Learn key identification features for birds by sound and sight ? on the wing and in the brush.
What fits the bill/beak? Learn which birds eat bugs and berries as well as how they eat
What?s the best habitat? Learn which birds live in the forest, in the field and by the water.
Live Raptors. Meet our live raptors up close and personal! We will have programs with our birds of prey at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

Guided bird walks. Come see what birds are present at Brockdale Park in the fall.

Bird Banding demonstrations. Learn how bird banders gently catch, band and release wild birds to gain information about their lives.

Walk the Native Plant Demonstration Trail. Learn more about the future of Blackland Prairie Raptor Center at Brockdale Park.
