The Seattle REI offers a distinctly Northwest atmosphere for your next meeting or event.
The Seattle REI Flagship store's meeting rooms provide an ideal venue for meetings, seminars, workshops, training, retreats, lectures and films. The venue offers a spectacular view of South Lake Union and lower Queen Anne, a full range of audio-visual equipment, and easy access to REI experts and terrific shopping.
Located off of I-5, the Seattle REI is an ideal location for your out-of-town guests. Close to downtown and the Seattle Center; the Seattle REI is an easy to find, centrally located Seattle landmark with a distinctly Northwest atmosphere.
Additional experiences at the Seattle REI include; store tours, Pinnacle (our 65 foot climbing wall) rental, complimentary REI guest speakers, evening clinics and the best in outdoor gear and clothing.

*A half day rental is for a reservation lasting four hours or less
*A full day rental is for a reservation over four hours
Your rental includes the use of our audio & visual equipment. There is an additional charge for renting our LCD projector of $80 per day

How many rooms do you have?
We have two medium-sized rooms that combine into one large conference space, the Casey Schwabland room.

Do you have a not-for-profit discount?
Yes! We are happy to offer a discount of 15% off the venue rental fee to our friends in the non-profit community. If you work for or represent an outdoor- or conservation-oriented non-profit, please contact us for additional rate and discount information.

How far in advance should I reserve?
Our meeting rooms are in extremely high demand, so we strongly recommend making your reservation as soon as your dates are confirmed. Typically we are able to fulfill requests recieved at least three months in advance, and to a lesser degree requests recieved in a shorter timeframe. What kind of audio-visual equipment is available?
We provide a full suite of updated a/v goodies, including ceiling-mounted high-resolution LCD projectors (additional fee of $80/day), wireless lavaliere and handheld microphones, high-speed wireless internet, CD/DVD/VHS players, 80 stations of satellite music, slide and overhead projectors, ceiling-mounted projection screens, and remotely-controlled sun and blackout shades. Additionally, REI can provide easels, easel pads, and markers upon request.

Can we climb the rock wall?

Do you host weddings or birthday parties?
No. We are not able to accommodate weddings, bat mitzvah?s, birthday parties, anniversary receptions, etc.

Can I bring in a band?
We welcome live music, provided it is tasteful and kept at an appropriate volume. To accommodate live music, we require that you reserve the full space (Casey Schwabland Room) and we reserve the right to charge an additional deposit.

What are the catering options?
We do not currently have a preferred caterers list, so you are welcome to use the caterer of your choice. If you don?t have your own caterer, we recommend checking out Joanie?s Catering

Do you have any kitchen facilities on site?
No. We don?t offer any food prep or cleanup facilities on site, and we ask that you refrain from washing dishes in our restrooms. Please plan on bringing in everything you will need, including water.

I?d like to serve alcohol at my meeting. Is that OK?
REI?s policy is to not allow alcohol service on our property unless very specific guidelines are followed. Please contact Todd Erskine (terskin@rei.com) for specifics.

What are the setup options, and how much do they cost?
We offer a wide variety of setup options for your meeting or event. Included with your rental of the space is theater-style seating. Optional layouts include: Square pods (tables with seating for 6-10; $120 setup fee), Classroom (?desk?-style seating with two chairs per table; $120 setup fee), ?U?- or Board-style seating ($80 setup fee), and a wide range of custom options.

We?d like to start before the store opens. Is that OK?
Yes! We can absolutely accommodate early arrivals, however we do charge an additional fee of $100/hour to cover the costs of bringing in our events, parking, and security staff early.

Do you offer linens?
No. Please work with your caterer or a party rental company to bring in any linens you will need.
