Avalanche Program

Wednesday, December 2
7pm at Southcenter REI

Join Ridge Explorations for an introductory clinic on avalanche safety and preparation. This class is for those who are snowshoeing or skiing the winter backcountry without real knowledge or understanding of avalanche danger. The lecture will introduce the concepts of avalanche safety, trip planning, terrain definitions, important snowpack factors, basic avalanche dynamics and risks. This program also presents an opportunity to see if a full Avalanche Level 1 course might be of interest in the future.

All ages welcome. Please arrive early for this popular clinic.
