PROMOTING ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS IN KIDS (PEAK)

REI partnered with Leave No Trace seven years ago to develop a kid-friendly educational program to teach environmental ethics to young and first-time hikers. What are environmental ethics? Most people have heard the statement, ?Leave only footprints, take only photos.? Leave No Trace is based on that very idea. PEAK is designed to foster a sense of environmental awareness and responsibility in children that they can carry through to adulthood.

Each REI location has their own PEAK coordinator, we recommend that you contact a store closest to you to help you plan your PEAK presentation.

Unless otherwise listed, these clinics are free, require a minimum of 20 attendees and are held at the Redmond REI store.

Pinnacle climbing is not included in a PEAK presentation. If you are interested in a Pinnacle experience, you can contact customer service at your local store. Please note that not all stores have a pinnacle and there is a charge associated with pinnacle events.
