Baker Beacon Rally

Sunday, January 10th 11-2pm FREE

Mt Baker Education Center, REI and a sluff-load of backcountry educators invites you to a Backcountry Education Day at Mt Baker. Learn about search technique including beacon, shovel and probe use. If you spend time skiing out of bounds, touring, snowshoeing, snowmobiling or any backcountry travel in the winter this event is for you. Beginners and Seasoned Veterans are welcome; three hours are devoted to basic skills education followed by an optional Beacon search race. Awards and freebies for class attendees and Beacon Rally racers.
Meet in the upper parking lot at Mt Baker Ski Area. Parking space is limited; please carpool.
