Snowcamping 101

Imagine the fun of a day spent backcountry skiing or snowshoeing; it doesn't have to end as the sun gets low...

REI snowcamping specialist, Josh Violette, will show you how enjoyable snowcamping can be, when you have the right gear and know-how. Come learn about tents, snow shelters, and sleeping bags/pads. Find out how to select and set up camp, layer your clothing for maximum warmth, cook nutritious meals, stay properly hydrated, and more.

An experienced leader from the Sierra Club's Snowcamping Section (San Francisco Bay Chapter) will share information about the Section's popular field training series-now in its 41st year. For additional information about this January field series, visit www.snowcamping.org.
