The goal of this program is to educate children about Leave No Trace ethics and techniques that will help them minimize their impacts while enjoying our great outdoors. Looking for fun family activities? Come in to the store and pick up and Adventure Journal, then log on to www.rei.com/passport and download a list of kid friendly hikes and bike rides in the Reno area. Then get outside. When the kids complete one activity send in the card attached to the journal for a pair of kid's binoculars. Read more about this event

REI?s experts will teach the basics of navigating with a Global Positioning System unit (GPS). This class is recommended for those who are planning to purchase a GPS unit, or for those who have purchased a unit and want to have a basic understanding of how to operate it. Read more about this event
9/19/2009 10:00 AM	REI MEMBERS ONLY GARAGE SALE	Free
Between 10am and 3 pm, REI Members can save from 20% to 80% off of slightly used or discontinued clothing and gear. This can include skis,snowboards,GPS units,tents, sleeping bags, boots, hiking shoes and bicycle parts and bikes. Not a member?
