I don't know what they call these flowers but it got my attention so I brought out my microlense and thought it was more interesting seeing it closeup than a whole clump of them.

Walking the southern rim we decided to take a little break and I wanted to make my signature shot which is my feet showing where I am at. The background seem so flat so I ask my friends (with their dog to stand in front of me and looked at where the dog is looking... after all, he's the star.

Exploring one of the out of the way Redrock Park hiking areas. I found this huge solid rock jotting out so I decided to climb it. Just when the wind finally slowed down, dust settled in and a little bit of blue sky showing up. My friend took a snapshot with her cel phone.

waiting for my friends to catch up my nephew took this photo. It was a windy day and we had to paddle against the wind for 11.7 miles!
