Comments about Vasque Breeze 2.0 Mid GTX Hiking Boots - Men's:
I recently went on a 4 day backpacking trip to Zion National Park. Before that I had probably hiked in these boots about 60 miles, and then I added another 40 in Zion. After 100 miles they still look great, I haven't gotten a single blister yet, and my feet have survived. I give them 4 stars instead of 5 because it felt like I was getting a blister on my heels, although I never did. Maybe it was just some weird pressure.
As far as I can tell these shoes are waterproof, however I hike in tall grass that regularly reaches above my knees and even soaks through my gators, so the times I have had wet feet I blame on the water running down my legs. That said the boots get very heavy and retain water on the outside of the boot.
Service and delivery comments:
I was told that buying superfeet insoles with my shoes would help a lot. They almost made me return my shoes, but I decided to go back to the regular insoles. The regular insoles are far more comfortable.

Comments about Vasque Breeze 2.0 Mid GTX Hiking Boots - Men's:
My son & I both got these boots for our scout high adventure trip to Philmont scout ranch in Cimmeron NM. They are the most comfortable boots! I used to always were my tennis shoes most days and now I wear my boots almost all the time! So far they have held up well - will let you know if that changes after our 2 week hike/camp in the mountains!

Comments about Vasque Breeze 2.0 Mid GTX Hiking Boots - Men's:
Boot was ok. Very light with good traction (although the older Vasque soul was MUCH better). Boot did not offer enough support. Was very comfortable and breathes well for light hiking and trail walking but NOT for hiking. Would own the boot for casual walks / hikes with the family but not for mission peak.

Comments about Vasque Breeze 2.0 Mid GTX Hiking Boots - Men's:
This boot has been very comfortable to hike in right out of the store, with no breaking in period. They are lightweight, remain waterproof after extended wear. This is my second pair, and I would highly recommend them to friends. I have a wide foot for a female, so the men's fit me better than the women's.

I was foolish and decided to put 7 mi. on them out of the box. Surprisingly they were very comfortable, caused no blisters and provided great traction on very loose rocky surfaces. So far appear quite durable.

Comments about Vasque Breeze 2.0 Mid GTX Hiking Boots - Men's:
I use this for day hikes short and long. I have used for backpacks on mapped trails light to medium pack load. The fit has been good I use a super-foot insole.
This boot starts to noticeable break down after about 8 months, it had very heavy use. After 8 months wore the sole down, and the ankle support and water resistance is failing, laces seem to not stay tied-even double knot but even so the fit is still great. Never a blister.
The not so great thing about this boot is the composition of the sole material, 98% of time it is great on rock, but certain dampness conditions seems to have very poor grip. This is weird thing about boot, can be raining hard and the traction seems fine across a big broken rock slope, then same exact rock slope with wet but not raining feels slick as snot, seems to be true on man made cement surfaces too in certain damp conditions.
Overall seems to be well made, good fit for me. I am going to buy another pair before they change boot or discontinue model.

Used this on a few Day hikes now, and I am very pleased with it. Seems to be very well thought out and well built. The way your foot sits and the shape of the outsole make walking feel very natural. It seems to be stiff enough to give good support (I have not used it in a backpacking setting yet) both through the sole and in the ankle, Also does better than I expected with arch support. Traction as been good, I can't say anything as to the waterproofing yet. I've found that they are a bit tight in the front of the boot, even though i got a wide, but if width isnt' a big issue for you this is a great boot

Comments about Vasque Breeze 2.0 Mid GTX Hiking Boots - Men's:
I am generally not a fan of high-ankle boots for hiking, and for the past decade have tended to stick to shoes like the Merril Moab Gore-tex with Vibratim soles. Needing a new pair of hiking shoes for an upcoming section hike on the AT I went into REI and proceeded to try on many different boots, both shorties and high-ankle. Taking the suggestion from the guy at REI, I tried on the Vasque hiking boots and they immediately felt different than any other pair of high-ankle boots that I'd ever owned before. They are light, flexible and seemed to conform to my feet.
Prior to my section hike I did a few day hikes and logged roughly 30 miles in the Vasque boots, although these boots felt like they were already broken in while I was still testing them in the store. My hike was great (mind you we were in snow and ice for the first two days)and the boots performed very well. No blisters, perfect support and the traction was excellent.
These boots have definitely won me over and I would highly recommend them!
