The North Face Thunder Micro Jacket is the best lightweight down jacket available. I primarily bought it as a laying option to go under my parka and it is perfect for that purpose. It's also stylish enough to me worn everyday. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I thought that the warmth of it wasn't fully up to par. Watch the video for more details.

This jacket is great. It is very stylish and warm for it's light weight. A couple of concerns include durability and price. The ripstop nylon is very thin so be careful of snags. Although I haven't had any, it is a constant concern while wearing the jacket as outerwear. It looks great with jeans. As long as you can deal with the steep price, then go for it.

This is the most comfortable jacket that I have ever worn! So far, I have tested it in 30 degree temperatures with windy conditions. I must admit that I was surprised that the wind did not penetrate the jacket. The only thing that I had on underneath it was a T-shirt and I was not cold at all. The only reservation that I had was the price, however, that went away as soon as I tried it on. You won't go wrong with this jacket!!

I love this jacket. The cut/fit is perfect. I am 6' and 144. I have really long limbs but a skinny torso (I am a road cyclist). This jacket is awesome for every day use in cold weather. I also have gone hiking and camping with it recently and have loved it. It's not enough to ward off extreme cold but it's awesome down to 25 or so Fahrenheit. Any more and you will need layers underneath or on top of it, which shouldn't be a problem. It has 2 pockets that are nice for your hands and a third breast pocket that is nice for phone, keys, wallets, etc. I can't stop wearing this jacket. It's just really comfortable, looks good, and is so versatile. I highly recommend it!
