I wear these jeans a few times each and every week for work, walking around the city and traveling.
You'll notice the quality of these jeans right away- strong denim (perhaps heavier than the "average"), great stitching with a strong attention to detail. I literally donated all of my other jeans and picked up another pair of these within the first week.
I'm 6'0", 145 lbs and the 30 x 32 fits pretty well. I do wish that REI carried the 28 x 32s as the jeans have "loosened" up a bit after a few washes. I definitely recommend to try them on first to find the proper length as Patagonia jeans come in "Short" 30" inseam, "Regular" 32" inseam and "Long" 34" inseam.
The pant-leg opening is wide enough, at roughly 8.5", that they may touch/drag along the ground in the bag. This all, of course, depends on how low to the ground your shoe is.
These jeans are well worth the investment and will surely bring years of use to come. Be careful though if you get them as you might be tempted to buy another pair or two!
