Comments about Keen Boston II Shoes - Men's:
Following up on nicko's comment, I love Keen's shoes but in both the Boston and the Targhee the 12 is slightly too small and the 13 is huge. Their shoes but I'm probably going to have to go to another brand as a result.

Comments about Keen Boston II Shoes - Men's:
I read the other reviews on this shoe and have to agree - this is another very comfortable great-looking shoe from Keen that I wear to the office on casual day & still rugged enough to wear anywhere. Only con I notice is not a major one but they run a little wide for narrow feet

Comments about Keen Boston II Shoes - Men's:
I am new to Keen products but were drawn to them based on the innovative style and positive user feedback. Based on the positive feedback, I wanted try this shoe. Overall, not a bad shoe. For me, fit is important, and it's not quite a perfect fit. I'd like to try some shoe inserts to improve this problem. I read that Keen was supposed to have good arch support, but my feet are narrow and the Boston II's overall fit is too loose. That's the trouble with ordering shoes online - vendors provide only one metric to determine fit. REI's fit model is based on foot length. Some people noted Keen shoes run wide, but this information is unreliable, without some way to measure this. What is missing is a more detailed measurement, such as capturing and specifying width and arch.[...]

Comments about Keen Boston II Shoes - Men's:
These shoes were instantly comfortable and I was initially very happy with them, however the soles started to separate from themselves and the uppers fairly quickly at the point where the front rubber toe cup goes down to the sole on the inside.
It is really only a problem on one shoe - maybe that one was a freak accident. In any case, it leaks easily, so my feet are usually wet if there is rain, puddles, or even heavy dew.
The top of the heel cup of the insole also pinches my heel between it and the upper, which gives me a blister on longer walks. I could probably solve this with a new set of insoles.
All that being said, I've worn these pretty heavily in all sorts of environments over the past year, and aside from these two issues - which could just be my pair or due to my feet - they are still in great shape and look like they could go for another year of hard use.

These shoes are really comfortable and required no break-in what-so-ever. Had a little problem with faulty stitching tearing on the heal after 2 months & REI stood behind their products (as always) and I was sent a brand new pair (which did not require any breaking in either!)

As a teacher, I'm on my feet a lot. I've tried other business casual shoes, and I just don't like the raised heel they all have. I bought these for the level footbed, Keen durability, and simple style (and the REI guarantee ;-). I have been completely satisfied with these. I particularly like the little ridge on the insole for the toes to grab. It's a small but very welcome detail. I recommend these if need a nice balance of style and comfort. I even get compliments fromt the high schoolers, so they must be okay.

Comments about Keen Boston II Shoes - Men's:
I've owned my pair of Boston Keen Shoes since 2005 when I purchased them prior to a trip to Europe in 2006. In 2006 I wore these shoes on a month long tour of France in which I did A LOT of walking. They held up great and gave me good support throughout the entire tour. These shoes were so great that I brought the same pair along in 2008 when I did another month-long tour to Europe with lots of train-ing and walking through France and Italy.
The shoes are casual enough to wear all day to museums or adventures, and dressy enough to take to dinner. I did replace the factory inserts with superfeet for my second trip as a treat to my feet.
I do recall that when I first got these shoes they were REALLY squeaky. Enough so that my wife began complaining and I had to find a way to fix. I sprinkled a bit of Scholl's foot powder underneath the factory shoe insert and the squeak disappeared, viola!
After four years of heavy use these shoes have held up fairly well. I am currently in the market to purchase a replacement pair as the front stitching on the leather is coming apart. I'm waiting for a deal to come around and then I'll be in my Boston's for another four years!
Of note as well, I recently found out I wear a size 10.5 EEEE for my width. The Keens in size 12 were the only comfortable shoe I'd ever worn prior to finding my correct sizing!

Would buy again. Very comfortable shoe. Great for people with wide feet. Comfortable from day one. Very sturdy shoe. Leather is thick, yet bendable. Laces have held up well. Soles seem like they'll never wear out. Nice color.
