Comments about Mountain Hardwear Conduit SL Bivy:
Just got back from a trip to Kodiak. It didn't rain on us the entire time which was a big surprise. I was using this sack to protect my down bag from any Kodiak deluges. I was using this in a 4 season, well-ventilated tent. My bag started to get wet, not from rain or condensation coming through, but from water condensing on the inside of the bivy sack! This sack does not breathe well at all. I'm taking it back today. The construction of the bag was superb, as is the norm with MH, just the material choice was poor.
I have lots of their gear but I would certainly not recommend this sack to any friend.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Conduit SL Bivy:
I was very happy to have my new Bivy last week-end when we went camping in West Virginia for 2 consecutive days: we only had our light down sleeping bags and the temperature dropped during the night to 36 o F ! It stayed warm and dry inside.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Conduit SL Bivy:
Lucky for me I like to test all my gear BEFORE I use it, slept in this in my backyard before I went anywere with it. Woke up with the entire top of my bag slick with condensation. Tried it again with the top off as much as I could get it so I could zip it up if it started raining, but that just meant I woke up with my foot area slick.
Bottom line, not enough moisture to matter with a synthetic bag, but I don't want to take the time to dry it out every morning.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Conduit SL Bivy:
Used in Africa, good for drizzle and dew from the ocean while in the desert. Worked well for fairly heavy drizzle in northeren Kenya. Breathed well, no condensation while in tent in Simeon Mts in Ethiopia. Not so good when under a truck in Cameroon as my bag was wet at the drip line where truck stoppped and feet stuck out, not too bad though as just outside of bag was damp after heavy rain.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Conduit SL Bivy:
Had my head inside the bag during the first use on a mulit-day glacier trek. The inside of the bag was cover in frost the next morning. Tried sleeping with my head out of the bag, and the same thing happened. Doesn't breath that well, but works great as protection for a down bag, as long as your inside a tent.
