by fromKeeps me dry Mountain Hardware does it about as well as anyone. I have a couple jackets like this from Patagonia and First Ascent that get as wet inside as outside. It is great to have a jacket like this that I can use 9 months out of the year. .

by fromI can't believe it. Size:It was just what I expected it.(US XL) Feeling:Very soft This fabric has contractibility. It is not stuffy.I can sleep with this jacket on my bed. I hope comfortable skiing at back country next season. I am sorry that my English explanation is not good.

by fromgreat hardshell that's actually soft I'm 5'11" and 160 lbs with a 30" waist and 38" chest. I purchased a medium and wore this jacket with a light base layer, fleece and down insulation layer underneath and had just enough room to comfortably maneuver while skiing this weekend. The temp was anywhere from 10 to 25 *F and while actively skiing I never built up moisture. One morning we made a 30 min hike to the top of the mountain. I left the down layer off and opened up the pit zips. The jacket performed flawlessly. The hood works excellent with or without a helmet on and the brim is very rigid and stays up out of your eyes. I've used other hard shells in the winter and they are stiff and loud in the cold. No worries here. There is simply no need for those hard shells when mountain hardwear is offering such a great product. I bought this shell for an all around jacket and so far I'm very impressed.
