    • Designed by skier, artist and filmmaker Eric Pollard, the Line Sir Francis Bacon skis are his personal choice for versatility and fun
    • Tip and tail rocker floats high in backcountry powder whether skiing forward or switch; relatively low rise planes through powder instead of plowing up and over
    • Core consists of light and strong maple wood stringers surrounded by aspen wood to provide snappy power for tricks and high stability at speed
    • Symmetrical flex pattern in tips and tails creates identical responsiveness whether skiing forward or switch
    • Widest points of the tips and tails are close to the center of the skis, reducing tail drag and hooking in powder
    • Thin cores and sidewalls in the tips reduce weight and make the skis easier to control
    • P-tex plastic sidewalls isolate vibrations, offering a smooth feel when charging at high speed
    • Extra-thick bases and edges add significant durability and impact resistance, and let you tune your skis many times throughout the season
    • The Line Sir Francis Bacon skis have 108mm waists that require bindings with wide brakes
    • Base or topsheet color may vary from online photo

    Line Sir Francis Bacon Skis - Men's - 2013/2014 is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun and Versatile Skis These skis are amazingly versatile for a 108 mm waisted ski. I was very surprised and pleased at how well they handle the groomers. I can vary my turn shape from short to long with ease and they have surprising edge hold. Edge changes are very quick and easy. I guess there is a speed limit - but they go plenty fast for me - I max out at about 30-35 mph. If you are a racer, look elsewhere. They have stiffness where it counts underfoot - these skis are not noodles. I was worried about the center mounted binding position since I have always skied traditional skis. But these skis are designed to be skiied that way. I had absolutely no problem with that. They are confidence inspiring - with a huge sweet spot. I never find myself getting thrown in the back seat on these skis. I haven't used my old "groomer" skis since I got the Bacons. They are just plain fun. I feel like I can take on any terrain - even some moguls. The symmetric flex makes them great in powder. IMO, what makes a great powder ski is more about the roundness of the flex and not purely the width. These are the most versatile skis I have ever ridden, that's for sure. I had been using Rossignol S7s the past two seasons for soft snow. They are great in powder, but marginal on groomers. They don't compare to the Bacons for versatility. Highly recommend these skis. I am 6'2", 200 lbs and I am on the 190s.
