by RobinsonianfromHidden Surprise!First off, the winter liner keeps my ears plenty warm when its below ~40ºF, and maybe a little too warm above that. I find it necessary to use my jacket's hood pulled over the helmet when its really cold/windy.
Secondly, the ear-pads have BUILT IN HEADPHONES! I was NOT expecting that! Came with a stereo cord w/ volume knob to hookup any device. Works fine w/ my iPhone. Decent Volume, if a bit uneven at lower levels. Either way, I'll take it! No wonder this guy was over one hundred dollars before being reduced.
Bought this helmet for cycling in the winter months, and to hopefully use while skiing.
While I haven't used it to ski yet, I stick to the (US) North East, use my jackets hood pulled over the helmet, a light balaclava and never really go above 40mph, So I expect it to keep me warm. Those tearing down double blacks out west may find it lacking.
Only CON is the chin-strap loosens itself frequently, even with the included rubber-band cinching thing. I think a small tight ziptie may remedy this.
