Comments about Therm-a-Rest BaseCamp Sleeping Pad - Regular - 2011 Closeout:
The Basecamp is probably the bread and butter of the Therm-a-Rest line. No frills but great all around pad. Good for car camping and light enough for backpacking too. Very comfortable, got it for my wife and it keeps her female hips off the ground when she's on her side. Great insulation , and no problems with slipping so far. She wanted to go with more comfort and I went with the lighter, more packable ProLite Plus. The trend seems to be with air pads these days but we are both very happy with the self-inflating. And you gotta like made in the USA!
