by Janelly476fromGreat cold gear..Visited Churchill, Manitoba and didn't want to be cold -23 windchill on the coldest day! These pants +1 layer underneath and your set!! I will have no problems making snowmen outside this winter at home in the states. I bought a size larger than my size to allow for extra layers underneath...perfect!

by BeastieBarbfromGreat pantsLove the pants. As I stated before, I went up a size for added comfort and they are perfect. Love the style and the weight of the pants. I will be ready for the next Northeaster.

by tromping in the northlandfromNice snow pantsI wear these over long underwear or tights and find the fit loose enough to allow easy leg lifting and crouching, yet not too loose, so they should be great for snow-shoeing. I am short and needed to take up the hem with one turn up and simple stitching. Inside the slightly flared leg the pants have a built in elastic-edged gator that can fit inside or over the outside of my bulky boots to keep out snow.
The waist rides lower than I prefer, resulting in a little more tightness through the crotch than would be ideal. I like the elastic tabs that come out from under a wide belt loop at the back and can be adjusted to gather any extra waist fabric with velcro closures. The double hook closure at the waist appears to be very sturdy and is backed up with a velcro tab.
So far I have only tested these in temperatures in the 20s. The real test will be when Michigan's Upper Peninsula winds blast and the real temperature drops down to zero and below. There is not room for more than one layer under these pants.
