The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Patagonia Capilene 3 Midweight Long Underwear Bottoms - Men's:
These base layers are really quite amazing. Comfortable, very breathable, very insulating, and amazingly seem to keep me from stinking, something my old base layers certainly cannot boast. At all.
SIZING: When I was shopping for base layers, I tried on the REI brand version of these, and they seemed pretty nice and the price point was convincing. However, despite myself (and the price hike), I tried these on also and I never looked back. It took me a couple tries to get the fit right. Being 6'1" and 170, the large fits well (with a caveat), but I wouldn't mind it just a smidge tighter. I tried on the medium and could barely even get my ankles through the bottom. Once I did, I found that the mediums were well sized in the legs, but were too tight in the ankles and WAY too small in the butt/crotch area.
So okay, no medium. The large is still great, even if it doesn't hug me quite as snugly as I would like. However, despite the "excess" in size, just sitting normally always produces the plumber's crack. And it's not just Patagonia, it's almost every single brand. What the deal with that? I would love to think that my butt is so awesome that it is incompatible with long johns, but I recently discovered another brand of base layer that does, in fact, cover ALL of your butt when you sit down.
Overall, this is a very high quality product with some sizing issues. The good news is that they fit "wrong" on me, yet I still love them, and you may just find that they fit you perfectly. I certainly would recommend a friend try them on (and then tie their shoes) and see how the fit works, because that's my only complaint. Patagonia, if you're listening, tall sizes please.
