Comments about Tretorn Highlander Leather Boots - Men's - 2012 Closeout:
I bought these to replace some slip-on boots I had worn out. I had never heard of this brand before but I figured Sweden would be a good source of boots for wet weather. I wore these maybe 4 days and we were taking a trip to Disneyland... I had to make the decision to wear these or sneakers. I chose these and I made it OK, my feet got tired but after 25,000 steps each day on my fitbit it's to be expected. We went on the log ride and got drenched and my feet stayed dry too, which was a plus. Now that I have put a few hundred miles on these, they are super comfortable and I am so glad I got them.
The only possible downside to these is they don't breathe, so even though my feet don't usually sweat they do get a little clammy in warmth weather, but nothing you can do about that. I have also noticed they always look dirty or dusty, and although I AM in the dirt and dust a lot, I think it is just the way this material looks. It's not a deal breaker, but it is something to be aware of. I have not tried to polish them or ad any coatings, although I did clean them with saddle soap and they came out looking exactly the same.
