by fromFlattering jacket I just received the jacket and tried it on immediately, loved to look and can't wait to wear it. It won't be the best for a cold Wisconsin winter so will have to wait until it gets a little warmed to comment further.

by fromGreat coat, but... I had shopped for a coat for a long time and was so pleased to find this one. I love the style and the medium weight with bonded fleece is great; it's a perfect, versatile coat for travel and easy to layer underneath it. It doesn't wrinkle and looks sharp and stylish even after having it bundled up for a while. I took it on a recent trip and it was great, except that after about 6 days of light use two of the snaps down the front broke off. But I like the coat so much that I am going to exchange it for another one and hope this was a fluke. The sleeves are a little long, but I have long arms, so I appreciate the extra length. For shorter-armed ladies, the sleeves may be too long. I got the basalt color, which is a dark gray (not brown as it looks on the REI website). I also love the color.

by fromDon't think quality control caught this Loved the looks of this - great length and lean fit - I'm curvy(size 8, 5'6 and ordered a M) and this was a very flattering jacket.. been looking for a new city wear rainjacket for awhile and the outlet price clinched the deal...however, there appears to be a stitching error near the bottom of the jacket, between the 2nd and 3rd snaps from the bottom - the fabric puckers making a bulge in profile, it doesn't lay flat when zipped up. I ordered a second jacket from REI thinking that this was a one-time defect, but sadly, no - the other coat I received has the same pucker/bulge. Both jackets go back, and the search goes on. So very sad about this, but perhaps that is why its at the outlet now?
