Slightly larger than its 10 ft. cousin the Citibot, the Folbot Gremlin 120 folding kayak offers the same portability with increased volume, length and capacity.

    • Maybe you can't store a hard-shell at home, or maybe you want to explore local waters like a beach or a lake; either way, you'll want a Folbot
    • It sets up in about 10 min., and folds up into a pack that you can store in your car's trunk or your gear closet
    • Thanks to a clever tensioning device in the rear of the kayak, you can first assemble the frame and then insert it into the skin, streamlining the set-up process
    • The Gremlin 120 is easy to manage on calm waters, and it offers excellent stability and surprisingly responsive tracking for a boat of its size
    • Used by roofers, the military and whitewater-raft makers, a synthetic rubber material called Elvaloy is tough like a rhino's hide and protects the hull of the Gremlin
    • Urethane-coated polyester protects the decks; all outer materials on the Folbot Gremlin resist UV light and are designed to take a beating without puncturing
    • Frame of the Gremlin is just as sturdy as its skin, with stainless-steel keel brackets (say that 3 times fast), aircraft-grade tubing and anodized aluminum cross pieces
    • Inflatable chambers called sponsons run the full length of the boat to increase tension and lock frame pieces into place; sponsons also flare out the hull to enhance stability
    • Seat and footpegs adjust to create a comfortable position in the cockpit
    • Easy-to-open zippers with high-strength zipper heads offer access to interior of kayak; rip-and-stick stormflaps and water-resistant closures keep things sealed up tight
    • Solid aluminum strip protects the bow and stern keels
    • What’s included? Your kayak will come inside its backpack with skin, frame, 2 foot braces, 2 air sponsons, 2 safety bladders, and inflatable seat

    Made in USA.

Comments about Folbot Gremlin 120 Folding Kayak:

We have an RV and wanted a kayak but didn't have an easy way to transport it on the roof or on a trailer. This Folbot Gremlin solved our problem. When it is disassembled, we just put it in one of the compartments...very easy.
We usually try to camp on lakes or large rivers. It took about 3-4 times assembling it before we got the hang of it, now we can assemble it in about 15 minutes. It is light enough for 1 person to transport.
In the water, it handles just like any other kayak; it is stable and easy to paddle and maneuver. The foot pegs are really easy to adjust while paddling.
It may sit a little higher out of the water than some others, but I think that is the design of this model, I think other models ride lower.
This model comes in a single backpack (very large) so the kayak can be transported over a distance, then assembled.
One thing to keep in mind is that it needs to be dry before storage to avoid mildew.
One issue I've seen is that a couple of the color-coded stickers that aid in the assembly are coming off, they need to be adhered better.
