    The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Sierra Designs Microlight 2 Jacket - Men's is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Jacket Bad Pocket Zipper This has been a great jacket thus far. My only complaint is that afte a month one of the zippers on the pockets began to bind.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy without trying zippers Just took this out of the package. The main zipper won't slide/close properly. On close inspection the zipper pull is rough and poorly made. One of the zippered pockets works fine but the zipper on the other pocket won't slide either. The danger of online ordering is exactly this. These are very lightweight and light duty coil zippers. I miss the days of the rugged toothed zippers - some were even field repairable!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from For the price - It works to perfection For the weight and cost, this was a great choice for my son. He loves it and can pack it away on the fly on the trail.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from functional but not stylish Inexpensive, last minute purchase for wind and shower protection for trip to Hawaii. Worked well for that minimal protection, but ... not particularly stylish and not adequate for more extreme conditions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great lightweight shell So far this shell as worked well for me, no bells or whistles but its got a hood and keeps the water off of you while still packing down into a small package. One note, you may want to go a little large if you plan on using it for any activity with a lot of movement or if you expect you might wear it as a second layer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from light and compact have not had a chance to use it yet, but it folds up small and into side pocket of my backpack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Fall and Spring Outer Layer We have had some unusual weather this Spring, and I was forced to buy an item I never had before: a windbreaker. Because of where I lived in the past, and also due to my ignorance about layers, I never even knew what a windbreaker was. I was either hot or cold, and that's all I knew. When the temperature reached the 50's (F) this year, and there was a slight breeze, I needed something light so I would not feel chilled, yet something I could take off when the day warmed up. I bought this windbreaker and it is perfect; I mean perfect. I wore it over the past three weeks in temperatures from low 30's to high 50's (F), walking at a brisk pace, heating up and taking the jacket off, and then in light drizzle to and from my car. Although not a rain jacket, it has a hood with drawstrings, and it served my purpose of keeping me dry in the damp drizzle. I tested this windbreaker by wearing it over a short sleeve shirt, on a cool evening and it was great. Then I wore it on a cold morning of 28 F over my long sleeve fleece, and it added the extra layer to keep me warm. I wore it over a long sleeve shirt while on a cool day's hike, and it kept me comfortable until I got too hot, and then I took it off. The jacket comes with a little stuff sack that is clipped on a lanyard inside a pocket. You can stuff the jacket into this pouch and it becomes exactly the size of a softball. You can squish it further if you want. You can also, if you are in a great hurry to stuff the jacket and throw it in your pack, simply turn it inside out stuffing it into one of the inside mesh pockets. This takes literally 10 seconds, and you have a small pillow you can actually use as such, on a plane or in a car. If you have a bit more time, and don't want to use the stuff sack, you can turn an outer pocket inside out, and stuff the jacket into that, and even zip it up. A down side is that the manufacturer did not make a two sided flip-over zipper on the pockets. If they had, you would not even need the stuff sack. So when you zip it up into an inside out pocket, you have to stop, and carefully let the zipper-pull hang out of the pocket. I can't really count this as a negative, because that is not the intention of the pocket. An ultra-light purist, however, would do away with the stuff sack, and use this inside out pocket technique. I am already getting a lot of use out of this jacket, finding it durable, practical and light. In Spring and Fall, I consider this a necessity. A light rain jacket would be too hot, whereas this is a perfect outer layer in changeable temperature weather without rain.
