Comments about Kuhl Renegade Shorts - Men's 10" Inseam:

Great shorts - very comfortable, breathable, lots of pockets. The cell phone pocket holds an iPhone 4S very well but a slightly down side is that the cell phone pocket is built slight toward the back of the side of the shorts, which can cause you to have to readjust the cell phone so part of it is not under your leg when you sit down.

Good length - great when standing but when sitting the legs rise up a bit but not too much. Also, the length is good for hiking because the short length does not cause them to rub over/across the knees with every step, which can happen with longer shorts.

Zipper pockets are great - they zip all the way up so even small items do not fall out of the pockets, which can happen with other cargo shorts that have pockets that only have the 2-corner velcro patches to keep items secure.

Very light weight - light, breathable, easily packable, pack very small in bag.

Mesh side pockets - great for draining water if they get submerged

Only one concern... - be aware that when sitting these may show an indentation of what is resting against the other side of the gusseted crotch (trying to be discreet so this post doesn't get pulled). This is only an issue when I am sitting down, not when standing. That is the only con that I have noticed with these shorts. Pulling them down a bit helps. It's thin material there so it's just something to be aware of. I still would recommend these shorts but wanted to make you aware of that. Going one size up from normal would probably fix that but then you might run into the issue of having to wear a belt.
