The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.
REI Ashbury Daypack - Women'sis rated4.7273out of5by11.
Rated5out of5byREIsarahfromGreat DayPackBought this while on vacation and even though I'm back home I use it daily. I've found regular sized backpacks encourage loading more than you can reasonable carry while walking out and about, but this minituraized version is the perfect size and is extra cute.

Rated4out of5byjenn42iferfromGreat as a diaper backpackMy husband and I actually bought this to use as a diaper backpack for our active toddler. We have diaper bags, but wanted something A) less bulky and cumbersome now that she doesn't need as much stuff, and B) that allowed us to have both hands free while chasing her around. I've seen other reviews that this works great as a diaper backpack, and I definitely agree. It's much more convenient than a full-size backpack (which we wouldn't need). Our main concern was finding something small but that still fit a small cooler bag because, living in the desert, we need it to keep milk and other perishables cold. The main compartment in this backpack fits our cooler bag, as well as a changing pad, wipes, extra clothes, hand wipes, and snacks. The front compartment is perfect for Mom & Dad's stuff plus a few toys and/or a light jacket for the kiddo. We use the back hidden zipper to fit 4 diapers and some ziplocs for emergencies, and the side pockets are a great size to easily slip in a water bottle for us on one side and a sippy of water on the other. It isn't heavy or bulky, and my husband and I can both wear it comfortably. However, I'm 5'0", he's 5'9" so we're not tall.
I can see that this would be great for everyday use for someone casual like me, as well. It would fit a tablet or netbook in the padded sleeve, and all sorts of stuff for a commute or quick jaunt. Really like this backpack. We have the black with pink, and the pink isn't as obnoxious as I braced myself for.

Rated5out of5byLivetoofishfromTrail 25 pack is a great value!I purchased my Trail 25 pack for a trip to Eleuthera in the Bahamas. I used it as a carry-on and through packed with stuff, it fit easily under the seat. Once on the island, I used it while wade fly fishing on the flats for the wily bonefish. Far away from our access points, it was often packed with bottled water and other gear. After ten days, of hard use, it has shown now sign of wear. I also use it locally during bike rides and enjoy having the various compartments as well as the thoughtful details such as the easy-to-find red strap for the key ring.

Rated5out of5byGo GreenfromAshbury Daypack was just right!!I am very pleased with my Ashbury Daypack. I used it recently on a British Isle Cruise. It was perfect for exploring Dublin and Edinburg, yet just large enough for my iPad and essentials on the plane. The material is durable and the pack is user friendly.

Rated4out of5byAPilgrimSoulfromGreat bag!I bought this backpack to use as a purse. With 2 small children, I need my hands free! It's a great size, and I can fit my items in there (wallet, planner, small make up bag) as well as my kids' (snacks, diapers, clothing, drinks). The straps are comfortable, and I love the padding on the back. It's very comfortable to wear. The only thing I don't like is the color choice. The black is ok, but the pink is...not me. The dark ruby is a nice color, but the yellow pull tags on the zipper, and the lining color just isn't attractive. I would love to see more color options for this bag.

Rated5out of5bysladukefromWomen's DaypackI use the product not only for hiking but for all my outdoor activities and put a small purse inside if I want to have money readily available. I love that there is room for 2 bottles of water comfortably and all the pockets. There is enough room in the back zipper area to store my nook which I appreciate.

Rated5out of5byhlrosboroughfromThis is a great product! This backpack has replaced a daily purse - I carry so much stuff that my heavy purse (no matter which one) pulled on my shoulders. Now I can walk around not dealing with a purse that's constantly falling off my shoulders. Great for outdoors too. Shopping is much easier with this. It can get a bit heavy though at times, though it just means it's time for me to whittle down what I'm carrying. Overall though, a great purchase. Definitely recommended.

Rated5out of5bycurlyloxfromLove it, just the right size!I got this bag to use as my diaper bag. I am a petite mom of three who likes to be prepared but I don't like bags to overwhelm me.
I also own the previous REI backpack (Nikole) like this in tan with embroidery. Though the other backpack served my needs, the colors of this one caught my attention. I love the charcoal color because it goes well with anything and the pink accents keep it from looking like a typical black boring backpack.
This bag holds just what I need for a typical day. It holds my wallet, 3 diapers, wipes, change of clothes, snacks, toys, board books, cell, keys and there's still room for more without it looking stuffed. I especially love the bottle holders on the side for easy access to my drink or a sippy cup.
I really like all the compartments of this backpack and even some "hidden" compartments for discreet items.
Overall, I like the improvements of this bag over the Nikole especially in the way the straps adjust. The straps are also lightly padded unlike the Nikole. Though I do wish the straps were a tad wider.
Overall, this is a great bag for my needs and I will continue to use it as a daypack even after it serves its purpose as a diaper bag. It will definitely be a good travel pack. I can't wait to use it that way with my Nexus tablet since right now that designated compartment holds the wipes and diapers.
