by fromComfortable but... I bought this less than a year ago, on its 4th trip the valve failed. The thing I give 5 stars on is the rei membership. I was able to swap it out no questions asked.

by fromAwesome Sleeping Pad Bought this sleeping pad with the intention of bike touring, so I was looking for lightweight, compact and durable, oh, and comfortable. So far, it has delivered on all! I have only used it once so far, on a cement floor in a school during STP, so I can't comment on warmth, but it was extremely comfortable. I'm 5'9"/160 and didn't feel the ground at all, even sleeping on my side. Valve also allows you to let a bit of air out in case the pad is too firm for your liking. Additionally, the side rails are great! They add a bit of extra width and are just slightly raised from the body of the pad to allow you to feel if you're about to roll off the pad while sleeping. Speaking of sliding off the pad, you wont, due to the slightly grippy material from which it's made. Bonus - I was easily able to deflate and pack the pad into the exact same dimensions as when it was new in the stuff bag. Only negative was that it didn't self-inflate on its first use. I was able to inflate it easily, though, with 20ish breaths. No big deal. Hopefully it will self-inflate on the next use.

by fromA Good Sleeping Pad This is a good sleeping pad that has worked fine for me. I am one who prefers a firm mattress, so the loftiness of the pad was fine for me. Though the durability will be determined over time, I think the pad's material and construction will allow it to last for a good period.

by fromFantastic sleeping pad At first, I was a bit thrown off by the side rails, but after comparing several different pads at my local REI, I decided to go with this one. I like the overall shape of the pad, and the rails proved very effective in keeping my in place throughout the night. I am a side-sleeper and this pad provides a ton of support and really keeps me warm. It feels durable, and inflates quite easily in my opinion, and does not lose air throughout the night. It packs down small and comes with a small velcro strap that really allows the pad to become compressed when space is at a premium.

by fromWorks as advertised! Still somewhat of a newbie backpacker and trying to refine my gear - this pad allowed a great nights sleep without rolling off even on uneven terrain - a little difficult getting it back into stuff sack but with practice it works - compact and lightweight - this is great product!

by fromGreat product at a reasonable price This is a good all-round choice for a sleeping pad- packs small, good cushioning, and lightweight at a very reasonable price. I wasn't entirely self inflating at 7,500 ft, but a few breaths sorted it out.

by froma worthy investment I finally broke down and invested in a self-inflating sleeping pad. I shouldn't have waited so long! The Air Rail is very comfortable and easily inflates. A few puffs inflates the rails with little effort. Deflates and packs effortlessly.
