I bought this for my high school son. He runs cross country so the outside pocket is a great place for extra running shoes. The side pockets are a bit shallow for water bottles but have good elastic. The bottom of the bag zips open for more room. The main downside is that the front pack has pockets but they only attach with a small piece of velcro. A zipper would have been more secure. Nice looking pack and very comfortable and roomy. Well made.
