        I have a really nice raincoat but wanted something for cool weather. This has been great as far as wind protection and although I have not woren it in a downpour I have been caught twice in the rain and stayed dry. Warmer than I expected and not heavy. I bought the blue color and love it. I wear it to work or on the trail and it is an all around great jacket. I looked at a lot of softshell jackets of all different prices and I love the length and fit. REI has a winner with the Twisp jacket!

            I love this jacket! I was looking for something that would replace an old soft shell Marmot and this comes pretty close. I just wanted something I could throw on or into my bag for everyday wear.

            It was the most form fitting jacket I could find. Other jackets were a bit baggy for everyday wear. I also wanted something with a hood because I'm terrible about checking the weather or bringing an umbrella with me. I also wanted something portable and light; I can throw it in my bag and forget about it.

            So far, my only complaint is that I'm still cold when I wear a t-shirt and jacket combo. I'll need to make sure to throw a scarf into my bag, too.
