The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Vasque Breeze 2.0 Mid GTX Hiking Boots - Men's:
I use this for both hiking around Red River Gorge and for long days when I'm standing all day. There are quite comfortable even during break in and are a good weight compared to my last boot. The water proofing is fantastic and I pretty well just don't worry about them ever.
The only downside is that they slide easily when wet. This could just be a mold release agent on the rubber that needs to come of through use but be careful early on.
Otherwise great boot and I would recommend it to other people.

Comments about Vasque Breeze 2.0 Mid GTX Hiking Boots - Men's:
Bought this boot for hiking and light backpacking. Initial impression is this is a comfortable, lightweight, secure feeling boot. Haven't taken it out on a hike yet but on the way home from purchasing stopped and laced em up and went for a 2 mile walk and they felt great, like I had been wearing them for weeks. Look forward to getting them into the woods!

Comments about Vasque Breeze 2.0 Mid GTX Hiking Boots - Men's:
Like the title says so far, so good. I came from the Merrell Moab to this boot. It's very comfortable laced up tight for the trail. Also doubles as a good camp boot. They feel like a soft pillow around my feet when combined with a good pair of hiking socks. Excellent lacing setup as well.
So far they've been on a three mile backpacking trip with a 45 pound load and were great. No hint of soreness, blisters or raw spots anywhere on my feet. Also took them on a six mile hike with a light daypack and had absolutely no problems. Also they are actually waterproof. Although I do wish the Gore-tex liner came up farther on the ankle support. Overall an excellent product that I would highly recommend to anyone.

Comments about Vasque Breeze 2.0 Mid GTX Hiking Boots - Men's:
After 20 years of use in my old Vasque Sundowners, it was time for new boots. I knew my new boots were going to be Vasque...just had to choose the best boot for me. I have enjoyed my new Breeze 2.0 Mid GTX Hiking Boots immensely...hiking all day in total comfort and security...not too hot or too cold...just right. They remind me of a pair of boots I purchased 20 years ago...

Comments about Vasque Breeze 2.0 Mid GTX Hiking Boots - Men's:
My first real hiking boots. Very happy with the fit (size 12). Tried on 4 or 5 pairs of various name brands and the Vasque was the only one that was perfect. Has performed well on a number of hikes up to about 5-6 miles. Traction on rocks is great, waterproof function works well, and ankle support is very good. Feels a little heavy, but it's not marketed as lightweight, and I specifically wanted a sturdy boot to give ankle support and avoid rollover, and those are high points of this boot. I plan to give them lots of use this summer and expect they will serve me well. I would recommend them.

This product fit me perfectly once I found it was available in a 'wide'.
Service and delivery comments:
I made this purchase at my local store in Durham, NC and the service was terrific. I went in on a very busy day, but sales associates were giving excellent service, multitasking appropriately when possible. After trying on the standard width, my salesperson made a special effort to find the same boot in a 'wide' for me, and it fit perfectly.

Comments about Vasque Breeze 2.0 Mid GTX Hiking Boots - Men's:
I recently went on a 4 day backpacking trip to Zion National Park. Before that I had probably hiked in these boots about 60 miles, and then I added another 40 in Zion. After 100 miles they still look great, I haven't gotten a single blister yet, and my feet have survived. I give them 4 stars instead of 5 because it felt like I was getting a blister on my heels, although I never did. Maybe it was just some weird pressure.
As far as I can tell these shoes are waterproof, however I hike in tall grass that regularly reaches above my knees and even soaks through my gators, so the times I have had wet feet I blame on the water running down my legs. That said the boots get very heavy and retain water on the outside of the boot.
Service and delivery comments:
I was told that buying superfeet insoles with my shoes would help a lot. They almost made me return my shoes, but I decided to go back to the regular insoles. The regular insoles are far more comfortable.

My son & I both got these boots for our scout high adventure trip to Philmont scout ranch in Cimmeron NM. They are the most comfortable boots! I used to always were my tennis shoes most days and now I wear my boots almost all the time! So far they have held up well - will let you know if that changes after our 2 week hike/camp in the mountains!
