      Comments about Nite Ize Nite Dawg LED Collar:

      This is a great light-up dog collar. I have used it on multiple dogs to see where they are while walking my dog off-leash or at the dog park when it is dark. The light bright and I can see my dog from several hundred feet away (or more). The collar I have is a different version from the collar pictured - it is a Nite Ize Nite Dawg collar, in red, but the light goes all the way around the collar (except for 1" or so at the clasp). With this collar, I can see my dog from almost any angle (if the dog faces straight away or staight towards you the light can be hidden), and other people and cars can see the dog as well - great for walking a dog on a leash! I get comments all the time from people interested in this collar. I highly recommend! I would buy it again when I get a second dog.

          Yes, this collar attachment will help you keep an eye on your dog's whereabouts at night, but they're not bright enough to let your dog see where he's going. We've always used a chemlight (glow stick) on a split ring and that has worked really well. I like that this collar does not hang down and get dirty or in the dog's water dish. The battery can be replaced, which is good. I'm just not thrilled I guess. Seems overpriced for what it is.

          Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
