I needed lighter boots for snowshoeing and these have proven out very well. My feet stay dry, warm and not tired. I only wear silk wickers and that is enough. I average 2-5 miles each day with no issues. Light winter hiking with microspikes have proven out well too. The zippers when clogged with snow are difficult to use. I find rubbing them with wax before I go out has helped. Soles are not soft so don't expect them to bend, most likely why they work well with spikes. I haven't had them, 1st season but would buy them again.

Haven't worn them outside yet but by trying them on I can tell they are great. They seem very durable and I love the heavy duty tread on the bottom. I also love the zipper. My current heavy duty boots are lace-up and I tend not wear them b/c it is time consuming to put them on. My everyday boots have a zipper but just aren't warm enough to be out long. Looking forward to getting out in the snow and cold with these.
