Comments about Goal Zero Bolt Focus Flashlight:
I've had this light for over a year, and I use this light all the time, from typical around the house jobs to work related inspections. It is a very bright light, which rivals some of my Surefire lights. The low setting is great for close up work, so you don't blow out your night vision. The adjustable light is very useful, and increases visible distance when focused. The wide beam is great for a wider field of visibility, but there is some loss in brightness. The "ghost" ring is somewhat distracting at first, but I got used to it. The "clicking" when adjusting the beam is a bit loud, especially in a tent with others sleeping next to you. The on/off clicking is typical, although I wish there was a momentary on/off capability. I'm assuming that option might interfere with the low/high feature.
The light itself seems relatively sturdy, although seems a bit rigid at the seams. There are virtually no shock-absorbing features, and I don't think that it would survive a significant drop or impact. The light can be unscrewed in 3 spots: the tail cap/battery compartment, the head of the light (above the LED indicator), and the lens cap (containing the lens itself). The machining on the treads seems pretty rough, as I found sharp edges and remnants of the machining process in-between the threads in all 3 locations. I cleaned them out and they all seemed to thread smooth after the cleaning. The lens itself also shows signs of rough machining, as there were sharp edges left on that as well. This didn't seem to affect the performance of the lens at all.
The rotating rubber USB port cover serves its purpose, but I would prefer a stationary cover. The cover tends to rotate through typical usage, and tends to collect lint, dust and debris, which then gets transferred to the USB port itself. I've had to clean it out just about every time I went to recharge it. It is definitely not weather proof, but is fine in light rain. I do also wish there was an "anti-roll" feature, as it will surely roll off an uneven surface. The fins on the side of the lens cap seem to do a good job of cooling the light.
The light tends to develop "flickers" on occasion, but I take apart the light and wipe off any vital electrical connections, mainly the batter. It works fine after that. The brightness decreases over time and there is no "cut-off" like some other high end lights. It's is not a regulated LED light. I typically charge it up overnight, and get the green light in the morning for a full charge. It charges twice as fast off of the Guide 10 battery pack, as it does on the computer USB.
All in all, it's a great light. It covers 90% of my required uses, and not needing batteries is the probably the best feature of the light. I almost feel guilty using other lights because they require batteries. It is relatively durable for normal to moderate outdoor use, but I will rely on a couple of my higher end lights for the more extreme environments that I might encounter. This light will still remain in my pack at all times.

I like the rechargeable feature but wish the battery life lasted longer.

I'm really impressed with this light, I can't believe how bright it is. The light is well constructed and has a cool look. I love that it is rechargable, no more wasting batteries. The high/low setting is great, this thing is bright enough that high almost feels like overkill. I read a review that said the light had a halo (dark spot in the middle), that just isn't the case. The adjustable focus is a great feature. I have dealt with Goal Zero's customer service before and it was a great experience. Their customer service is above and beyond what I expected. I feel like for the price this might be the best light available.

This may be the best flashlight I've ever owned. I haven't had it long, so I can't really say that yet for sure. But the beam is wicked bright and it feels good in your hand. With wide focus, objects at 50 feet or so are like "Oh, so that's what that is." With the beam at its narrowest focus it's like, "I'm ready for my scene, Mr. DeVille. Action!" It's nice that it comes with a USB charger in case (like me) your USB ports are all populated most of the time. I live out where there are no street lights, so a flashlight is a necessity unless you're fond of walking into trees. Easily lights up the trail ahead of you and your party, and on narrow beam, light things up a couple of hundred yards away.

Really great light. Super bright, good feel in the hand, and very durable. I've dropped it many times onto hard surfaces and it still looks and acts brand new. I've brought it camping but mostly use it around the house. Mine keeps a single charge for months, and that is with some fairly heavy use. (Most rechargeables I've had lose their charge over time, even without use.) Two minor things (not worthy of "Cons"): since it's perfectly round it can roll away from you if you lay it on a flat surface, and the beam has dark rings in it, like most flashlights like this, but you really only notice if you shine it on a wall or the like. Very worth the price.
