The Brunton O.S.S. 40B compass builds on the success of the original 8096 Adventure Race compass, adding circle-over-circle alignment and Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) roamer scales.
- Latitude/longitude/UTM map tool with scales in 1:24,000, 1:25,000, and 1:50,000 aids in accurate navigation when used with a map
- Meridian insert preserves Brunton's patent-pending, tool-free declination system and keeps meridian lines down on the map for easy and precise headings
- Transparent, extra-thick baseplate makes it easy to navigate with a map and stands up to heavy outdoor use
- Brunton O.S.S. 40B compass features a map magnifier, reversible slide scale, 100m confident circles, 1° resolution, a lanyard and scales in both inches and millimeters
