Comments about Fitbit Ultra Wireless Fitness Tracker:
FitBit was not very useful in tracking physical activity using the FitBit Ultra and the website. For an example of an excellent user interface and ease of tracking daily calories, exercise, I ended up going with the MyFitnessPal program on the iPad and iPhone.
FitBit would not separate out basic base metabolic rate from the walking recorded by the FitBitUltra. This made the Ultra almost useless in seeing differences in daily activity. The FitBit daily recording was limited to the website. The user interface on the website was hard to use, food database not as complete, the problem of not being able to separate walking from daily BMR. Miscalculation of steps. I work in a single story facility, don't climb many steps but FitBit Ultra insisted is went up and down Statue of Liberty three times a day and grossly inflated my daily calorie burn.
Poor recording of physical data, poor display of physical data, poor program recording design, weak food database, poor user interface.

Comments about Fitbit Ultra Wireless Fitness Tracker:
I wear the Fitbit almost all day & night.
I love the stopwatch feature which logs steps, etc and enters the activity on the web once it is plugged in & all you need to do is give the activity a name.

Comments about Fitbit Ultra Wireless Fitness Tracker:
The first one I bought was defective, the company mailed out a replacement. This one works sometimes. It doesn't always count my steps, and frequently just gives me a battery sign instead of telling me how many steps I have walked. I love the concept and am very disappointed.

Comments about Fitbit Ultra Wireless Fitness Tracker:
I bought this for myself after looking at it for 4-5 months... love it!! Should have bought it sooner. It gives great records and I have synced it with a Myfitnesspal account, which I created after I got my Fitbit. Myfitness pal allows for food tracking and syncs with Fitbit, making this a total package! Both have mobile apps and are easy to use. I have checked out the Fitbit community some too and there are lots of people out there using it to get fit and keep active!

Comments about Fitbit Ultra Wireless Fitness Tracker:
I purchased my FitBit two months ago and have absolutely loved it. I keep it in my bra (weird, I know), and it tracks my daily activities. Once I get home, it wirelessly updates my activity onto my FitBit dashboard so I can compare activity across days.
The only problem I've had with it is the poor battery life. Apparently the battery should last up to a week, but it dies on me after about 32 hours of use. Unfortunately, the rechargeable battery can't be replaced. I'm going to exchange this one and see if another provides any better performance.
Other than the battery life, I have loved my FitBit!

Comments about Fitbit Ultra Wireless Fitness Tracker:
I purchased this on the recommendation of my brother, who'd been using his about 4 months. I wear it to log my daily activity, from number of steps to intensity & duration of workouts - I'm on my feet a lot & was very interested to find I often walk 5 miles or more in a day. I also like the sleep tracking function, which gives a fair analysis of how often you wake & move around. The numbers are useful, there are other software programs that work with Fitbit, and it's a reliable & hardworking device.
That said, there are some problems. I was very thankful that I purchased it at REI, as they were much more amenable to taking it back when I had the first problem - the USB port supplied with the device did not reliably work. I had to plug it in numerous times to complete a sync, and never did get it to sync wirelessly. After about two weeks of this, I contacted Fitbit. It took them about a week to respond, but they said they'd send me a second USB connector. Great - the problem might be solved...yet, after another three weeks, it still had not arrived. I contacted Fitbit again - oh, they confirmed that they sent it out but they could not track the package! They'd send another....
I finally took it back to REI and exchanged it. The second USB connector worked, but now the clip that attaches it to you just broke! I do not trust Fitbit - it's been two months since I bought this, I've contacted them 4-5 times, they've supposedly sent me 2 USB connectors which have never arrived. I'll be heading back in to REI to exchange this one more time....
This is a useful device, but it's relatively expensive for the poor quality of these components. I'd caution any buyer, particularly one like me who is not situated immediately in the neighborhood of most retail stores, to carefully consider this purchase. What are your options if one piece fails, and why doesn't Fitbit do a better job of honoring the warranty? Why isn't the clip made of something less breakable? The reviewer that recommends the clips has the right idea.....
Ask yourself how many times you would drive 150 miles to return this item to REI if you purchased it....It works great, when it works, but it could really be improved.
Service and delivery comments:
It took longer to arrive than originally listed; the replacement parts promised by Fitbit have never arrived.
REI was prompt and helpful in replacing this item, and I'd trust REI with future purchases....Fitbit, not so much....

Comments about Fitbit Ultra Wireless Fitness Tracker:
I wanted to increase my steps taken daily and found the fitbit a great incentive. I walked over 10000 steps daily. Unfortunately, I only had it 1 week when I put it through the wash, and it no longer works. Liked it so much I do plan to buy a new one in the near future.

Comments about Fitbit Ultra Wireless Fitness Tracker:
As another reviewer wrote, I so wanted to like this product. The price is right and it has many useful features. However, I've found this product to be cheaply made, the website is not quite up to par, it is inaccurate, and after a week or so of use, i already had to reset it because it stopped syncing. I'm returning it tomorrow. Will begin shopping for a similar product with a better track record...even if it costs a bit more. Don't bother with this. It's a gimmicky toy.

Comments about Fitbit Ultra Wireless Fitness Tracker:
When the product has a problem you are on your own. They don't have a live customer service person. You go online and they send you a standard form to work through. Did that a week ago and have not heard back. Complained twice on the forum but they ignore you there also.

Comments about Fitbit Ultra Wireless Fitness Tracker:
I love my Fitbit, but sometimes I feel that I need a heartrate monitor instead. It does not accurately track crossfit activity, but it's not meant to. My steps are accurate, but my distance traveled is off (I still have to measure my stride; right now it's using a default value based on my height and weight). The calories burned measurement has been helpful in my weight loss efforts, because I found that I wasn't eating enough to support the amount of calories I burned. The free online tools make the Fitbit worth it, in my mind. I was especially motivated by the pie chart showing my 65% sedentary hours per day! I wear the Fitbit all the time (except in the shower). I even wear it to sleep, and it tracks my sleep quality. I find it very useful, and if I were to buy a heartrate monitor, I would probably still use my Fitbit all the time.
