Comments about Therm-a-Rest ProLite Plus Sleeping Pad:
I took this Pad backpacking on a trip with the temps down below freezing, I was one of the only hikers that stayed worm that night. manly because of the insulation from the Therm-a-rest, we were in an area that did not allow a camp fire.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest ProLite Plus Sleeping Pad:
The Therm-a-Rest ProLite Plus Sleeping Pad is exactly what you expect. It's lightweight and packs really compact. My only problems with it is that it doesn't keep you extremely warm and it takes quit a while to inflate. If you leave it for 30 minutes, it'll inflate to about 50% and no waiting will help much more after that. You're going to have to top it off with a half dozen breaths. I've never had any leaking issues and the material is very durable and doesn't slip at all. If you're looking for lightweight and space saving, this is a great route to go. If you're looking for comfort and faster inflation, keep looking.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest ProLite Plus Sleeping Pad:
I normally pack as light as I can. But I sleep on my side sometimes, and my hips hit the ground with the 1 inch pads. The extra half inch adds a lot of comfort. But it does feel a little more like an air pad than the typical closed cell pad when fully inflated.

Spent 2 nights in Linville Gorge with lows in the teens. This pad was great and kept the cold from the ground off of me.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest ProLite Plus Sleeping Pad:
I have had my Pro-Lite Plus for only a few months, so I can't speak yet to its durability, nor its warmth in winter. However, I have been extremely pleased with the Short size given my needs. I'm a very petite woman (5'0") and have taken this on practice trips while gearing up for a long bike tour. This pad packs down smaller and is lighter (only 15oz!) compared to the Women's Pro-Lite Plus, but gives me adequate coverage, at least in warmer weather. It will be great for longer 3-season tours. In terms of comfort, prior to this, I had a bulky, full-length foam Thermarest RidgeRest for car-camping which was terrible for side-sleeping, but with the Pro-Lite Plus I was able to sleep several hours on my side without pain on my hipbone. So for me the trade up was well worth it, in terms of comfort, size, and weight. Definitely happy with this purchase!

Comments about Therm-a-Rest ProLite Plus Sleeping Pad:
Used for 3 weeks on trail canoeing through northern Manitoba. Slept on small plants, roots, rock, and beaches, and didn't feel a thing. Packs well, light, and easy to inflate and deflate.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest ProLite Plus Sleeping Pad:
I purchased this mattress about 2 years ago and paid the steep price due to the "Lifetime Warranty" listed on the item. My mattress is now leaking air and only stays inflated for about 20 min ( Common issue with this item).
I went to return and quickly found this items "Lifetime Warranty" is very limited. Leaks are not covered. This item is not durable and the warranty does cover anything except defects, not including leaks.
Stay away from this item unless you can buy a new one every couple of years

Comments about Therm-a-Rest ProLite Plus Sleeping Pad:
Just returned my third Prolite Plus (or Prolite 4 as they used to be called...). I used those pads for a wide range of activities, from climbing Rainier, to backpacking on the WA coast, to car camping on the Colorado River. I never found the pad to be cold, even at 10F (never used a foam pad underneath, either). It worked great with the chair kit, and the couples kit. It fit well in an internal frame pack, even in a 32L ski pack. However, all three pads sprang leaks somehow. I never knew how. I also found that when inflated fully, the center was slightly higher than the edges, and I would tend to slide or roll of the sides while sleeping. slightly deflating the pad to account for the slide/roll factor, I found that I sometimes bottomed out, especially when sleeping on my side (it is only 1.5" thick...). Overall, a reasonably comfortable, reasonably durable, reasonably small and light pad.
