Comments about REI Quarter Dome T2 Plus Tent:
First let me say reading the comments by other users of products is extremely important. Having this info, I purchased upgraded MSR Ground Hog stakes and guy lines with the purchase of the tent.
On only my second time out, there was a very severe thunderstorm with 70+ mph hour winds. Even with the vents left open, there was no water at all inside.
Only improvement suggestion would be to add another couple inches in width if used for two people and a little extra vestibule room.
A very good product and easy to put up and take down.

Comments about REI Quarter Dome T2 Plus Tent:
Having recently finished a week long bicycle trip in Florida, when we experienced unusually cold nights, I thought I'd make a few comments.
First, the set up of this tent is ingenious. With the color coded system, it's impossible to set it up wrong. The only hitch I had was that when I first set it up indoors, I had a really hard time attaching the tent body to the short pole. After a quick review of the on-line video, I realized that I should do that before attaching the clips, and then everything worked great.
My week in central Florida was cold (30 something degree nights) and very windy. The tent didn't even notice the wind, although I did have to add two stakes to the six provided to achieve a solid setup. Because the tent body is virtually all mesh, I'd consider this a warm weather tent, but that's good with me because I don't normally do any cold weather camping anyway.
I found only a couple of things that weren't ideal about the tent. First, the fly over the doors is very low. I had to crawl a couple of feet before I could stand when exiting. Also, the tent fly took longer to dry than I expected after being wet from dew. I didn't experience any rain, so I can't comment on that.
Overall, I'm pleased with the tent for the purpose I bought it for, but I don't think it will be practical for family camping where weight is not an important factor.

Comments about REI Quarter Dome T2 Plus Tent:
I love this tent I am 6'4" and my girlfriend and I both use this tent on our backpacking adventures. At night both our bedrolls fit comfortably we put our packs outside under the fly on one side and use the door on the other just our preferance but everything is covered. It's one of the lighter tent's in the size range we found and set up is a breeze REI is an outstanding company as far as standing behind there products

I didn't find the instructions very useful but I do appreciate they are on the bag. I found the best instructions on youtube for putting up the tent the first time. Now that I know how it goes up and comes down quickly.
I love the construction and layout. I definitely recommend this tent!

Comments about REI Quarter Dome T2 Plus Tent:
This tent is the best two person tent i have used so far. The "plus" version makes a perfect spot for a dog or two to sleep at your feet without feeling crowded. The dome design works great for wind coming from all directions. The weight is not the lightest but is easy to carry. The quality is worth the extra weight. I have had ultra light tents but the quality is always sacrificed for weight.

Comments about REI Quarter Dome T2 Plus Tent:
I got this tent to go hiking & camping with my kids' scout troop. We were out on the AT this weekend - rained, hailed and snowed all day. This tent set up quickly and kept me dry all night. Maybe not as light as a Big Agnes ultralight, but much more roomy. This tent will actually fit two campers with gear without the two people practically sleeping on top of each other. Nicely designed tent.

Comments about REI Quarter Dome T2 Plus Tent:
I bought this tent because my sister and I out grew my old Mountain Hardwear one. We both loved the space this one provided! It's still small enough to pack in a bulk head of a sea kayak and light enough to take on a backpacking trip. I've slept dry and comfortable on windy shores and in rainy woods. I'm really happy with this tent and can't wait for spring break to come so I can camp in it again! It has become my home away from home. :)

My girlfriend and I got stuck in a thunderstorm and pouring rain for over 10 hours and the tent got a little damp at the bottom, but nothing that was noticed until the morning.

Comments about REI Quarter Dome T2 Plus Tent:
I used this tent this weekend and was really impressed. The tent is made very well with quality materials that are light and don't add bulk. Setting up the tent isn't very intuitive so i'm glad I set it up at home first instead of waiting until I was in the backcountry. I really liked the storage on the inside of the tent. There are several mesh pockets to store items in the corners of the tent, as on the ceiling. The space inside the tent is reasonable. It's a backpacking tent and you should expect to be a little closer to the person next to you inside this tent. Plenty of legroom and head room inside. The fly worked really well during the trip. We had gusts around 15 mph and you didn't notice any of it.

Comments about REI Quarter Dome T2 Plus Tent:
First Use; I set the tent up and went into Key West for a bit and on the way back a big storm with driving rain and 30 to 40 mile an hour wind gusts kicked up. We were camping at the end of a small campgrond peninsula and I wondered in what condition I would find the tent. WOW! I found it totally secure and dry as a bone. The wind and rain continued through the night and I continued to stay dry. The second night again pouring rain and I stayed dry. The vestubules were great for our stuff and fold bikes leaving so much room inside the tent. I like the fly, it doesn't lay on the ground when unzipped. This tent is great and I would recommend it to anyone!
