Comments about Fenix TK35 LED Flashlight:
I have purchased three of these from the REI retail store. All three of them have been defective after time. The first two just stopped working completely and the third would not change brightness levels or modes even after changing batteries. None of them were subjected to extreme conditions. Also, the anodized aluminum is really quite easily scratched. And the battery springs inside make a bit of noise when in use. I also doubt the durability of the large glass lens, though none of them have ever broken (scratched easily though).

This thing is bright!! If you are looking for a backpacking light this is not for you. This light is pretty big and heavy, but it is far brighter than its size may suggest. the strobe feature is dangerous and could stop anybody, and the light in turbo mode will light up a football field!!
Great for looking for wildlife at night, or anytime you need to illuminate an entire field. durable, waterproof, and well-made.

Watch the video on how to clean the Flash Light from Fenix web sit. So far a good Rechargeable battery to use is UltraFire BRC 18650 3000 mAh.

Comments about Fenix TK35 LED Flashlight:
I bought this with a portion of my dividend this year, looking for an awesome "tactical" light that wasn't as expensive as SureFire. I definitely found it.
The light is insanely bright on the "Turbo" setting. Using it across the golf course yielded 200+ yards of visibility (even with much ambient light). Similarly, in shining it over a lake after nightfall, it illuminated quite a lot of humidity... such that the range was somewhat limited... but I like to know that the range is limited mostly by atmospheric conditions and your vision.
Battery life is good - I have been using it on 3/4 setting and have been through 3 camping trips so far and notice no reduction in intensity. CR123 batteries are really expensive, but apparently worth it.
Seems sturdy, have dipped it underwater and noticed no issues. Aluminum+Rubber gaskets... so hard to go wrong.

This flashlight is everything I ever wanted...as far as a flashlight goes! Very dependable( have had it for six months without a glitch) use it every night. Its extremely bright and puts my rechargeable mag light to shame. You must buy rechargeable batteries, because once you get use to the high output settings, you will never use the lower settings ( expect 1 hour run time max with rechargeables).

Comments about Fenix TK35 LED Flashlight:
This thing is one serious light! It is pretty big like some people have said, but for how much light this thing throws, it really isn't THAT big.
I finally decided to switch to the "dark side" and buy CR123A batteries, and boy, I've been missing out!
I own multiple Fenix lights and LOVE all of them for their own intended purposes. I got the LD10, LD20, and now the TK15 and TK35. Both TK lights are impressive and you won't regret purchasing them!
REI ships FAST to Hawaii too! Buy your fenix lights from REI! you won't regret it!

Comments about Fenix TK35 LED Flashlight:
A very bright and well though out flashlight. So far has been very durable in a number of nightime adventures with steady rain. I really like the ability to turn it off without having to cycle through. Like the fact that I have the option of rechargeable or regular Cr 123 A's.
