The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Novara Fiona Women's Bike - 2012:
Writing this as to balance the review posted already. I have the last year model that besides colors has the same design.
The bike is nice for what it is intended to do - ride around town or leisure. Due to its woman/children friendly frame there is no space to attach a water bottle; this is why none is provided.
But there is an easy solution for that: use a backpack bladder system (CamelBack, etc.) or buy a handlebar adapter (on rei.com and elsewhere). Depending on what else you install on your handlebar (bike computer, lights, bell) you may decide which design is better for you. If you dismount the bike getting your leg over the top of the saddle (like guys do) you can buy a water bottle adapter for the frame's saddle or "top" tube.
I got the XS size that will just fit my 9.5 years old daughter. She is thrilled to have a "real bike" and I could save money skipping the 26" bike and buying this one – more expensive but better bike for her.
The only part I had to replace was the saddle to a smaller model (~$25) besides adjusting the seat and handlebars. There are 4 rings under the handlebar stem (see picture zoom) that can be moved above it thus lowering the handlebar a lot.
She can handle the bike nicely through the tight cone course I'm setting for her.
The brake handles can be adjusted for reach and vertical position to accommodate small hands. The v-brakes are powerful and easy to use.
The components operate smoothly and she can change speeds easily.
I could have done w/o suspension but now that is there is nice on longer trips when fatigue can be an issue. BTW it can be easily locked via a lever to ride as a non-suspension bike when you climb in the saddle.
The only cons is that is in the heavy side for an Aluminum bike but at this price range it is offered and with all the features and the intended use that is to be expected.
If my daughter can handle it then I'll say it is not too heavy.

New to biking . . . attracted to look of bike but difficult to mount for transportation and unable to attach water.
