Inner polycarbonate shell has a foam interior to protect the back of your iPad from scratching, while the durable silicone skin works its magic by absorbing shock
Clip-on touch screen cover has a fold-out stand that offers a convenient viewing and typing experience

Comments about OtterBox iPad 2 Defender Case:

I purchased and returned 3 different iPad 2 covers within 2 weeks before finding and buying the OtterBox. Occasionally my brother can coax me out of my cave for a hike. One thing is sure, if I fell down the mountain, I might die but the iPad would survive the tumble. Pricey? Yes. You're getting what you pay for: a superior product and sometimes you have to bite the bullet and open your wallet.

Comments about OtterBox iPad 2 Defender Case:

I just bought the new iPad and wanted the NEW iPad case from Otterbox. The image shown for this item shows the New iPad otterbox case... however I was sent the OLD, and poorly designed, case. The silicone skin does not stay on and the flaps and covers for swtiches are not detailed well.
REI is charging the price for the new model but sending me the old model... not cool.

Not happy.
