The Salomon Kevlar Replacement Laces 2 Kit has everything you need to replace the Kevlar® Quick-Fit™ lacing system on your Salomon shoes.

Updated kit includes laces, smaller and lighter lace locks and lace-end caps
Kit can be used for regular or asymmetrical lacing systems
Kit also now comes with a cylinder that helps with opening and threading the replacement laces through the eyelets
For shoes with regular (non-asymmetrical) lacing systems, simply cut off the loops and lace as usual

Please note: Salomon products can only be shipped to U.S. addresses.

I use these laces to replace the regular kind on all my running shoes - in the photo they are thin, and in real life they are too, but they are super strong. The laces that come with Salomon shoes are also thin, so these are no different.

They come in a super long length too, so you will end up with extra lace. You can lace them in the shoes in the normal fashion and not use the loops at the ends (I cut them off).

I will say it takes patience to put them together. People complained about the hole being too small - it isn't. I found that using way less pressure works better and it snaps right in.

When you get the vice grips out that's way overkill and by that time you have anger! But just fiddle with it enough and lightly snap it together and it works.

I've had about 5 pairs of these so far and they work great on Salomon or non-Salomon shoes.

It'd be cool if they made them in different colors, but probably a lot to ask since these are specialty item.

I tried everything to get this thing together. Can't get the quick release to mount . I used vice grips to pull as hard as I could to line the hole in the wheel up and it still won't snap in. The hole in the wheel is too small. I just tie the laces like a normal shoe instead. Pretty much a waste of money and effort.

My favorite pair of shoes is as good as new after my puppy got a hold of them. Easy to follow instructions, the repair took about 5 minutes a shoe (the little copper tube is your friend!). A lot of extra lace for a pair of running shoes, but easy enough to trim as long as you have a lighter handy for the ends.

I was upset that I have these SNOW BOOTS and I order these laces to replace the one that came with the boot..I was so upset to see how thin the laces were...the picture they have Magnifies the laces and the actual size is deceiving

I absolutely love my Salomon XA shoes and over many years have had numerous pairs. While rare, the laces can break. Fortunately, shops like REI sell replacement laces. Unfortunately, the instructions enclosed with the laces are totally useless. Check any number of blogs and you'll read a lot of frustration by Salomon owner who can't make any sense of the included instructions.

Alas, Salomon has come to the rescue with an excellent instructional video on YouTube. Follow these instructions and you'll quickly be out your next adventure wearing your re-laced Salomon's.
